Hygiene Supervisor

Kinetic recruitment services are working in partnership with one of our clients to recruit full-time food production workers for their site based in Ashton-Under-Lyne.
This is an excellent opportunity for the successful candidate with the earning potential being high!
This position is a short term position with potential of a long term position.
Food production and manufacturing experience is a must!
This role is a rotation of 2 weeks nights and 2 weeks days, all candidates MUST be able to work both days and nights.
Hours of work
Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday – 48 hours
Week 2: Sunday, Wednesday and Thursday – 36 hours
Payrate for the first 12 consecutive weeks
* Standard hours £12.58 per hour
* Overtime Monday to Saturday £18.88 per hour
* Overtime Sundays and bank holidays £25.17 per hour
Payrate after completing 12 consecutive weeks
* Standard hours £14.91 per hour
* Overtime Monday to Saturday £22.38 per hour
* Overtime Sundays and bank holidays £29.85 per hour
The role
* Packing produce.
* Shrink wrapping produce into boxes.
* Operating high-speed production lines.
* Maximising output and yields.
* Ensuring all health and safety procedures are always adhered to.
* Maintaining product quality standards and helping them achieve their KPI’s.

Benefits

We have a great opportunity for an experienced Hygiene Supervisor based at Hill Biscuits Limited, Ashton-under-Lyne, Manchester, UK.
Food production and manufacturing experience is a must!
Hours of work
Working 40 hours per week, Wednesday to Sunday you will support the Hygiene Manager to lead the Hygiene team and deliver the completion of hygiene schedules that ensure plant and environment are maintained to a high standard ensuring effective deployment of resources, forward planning and continuous improvement.
Working to tight deadlines, you will train, develop and organise the team ensuring all work confirms to the processes and procedures of the Food Safety & Quality Management System and the Health and Safety Management System.
About you:
You will have experience of working within a similar role in FMCG, food manufacturing, specifically bakery.
Your key attributes will include:

Hygiene Operative
Ashton Weekend Day Working

- 24 hours per week (12 hours Saturday / 12 hours Sunday)
Working as part of the Hygiene Team, you will be responsible for ensuring all equipment, plant, areas and environment meet the standards of hygiene in accordance with the schedule, Food Safety, Health & Safety and hygiene requirements.
Core duties will include:
- Cleaning of equipment and production lines to meet the required standards.
- Deep cleaning of production areas.
- Post cleaning checks to ensure standards have been achieved.
- Completion of relevant paperwork.
- Assisting with audits including preparation, during and post audit processes.
- Ensuring cleaning and personal protective equipment are functioning correctly at all times.
Experience / Skills:
- Previous experience of working in food manufacturing with ability to strip/clean machinery.
- Minimum Level 2 qualification in Food Safety.
- Demonstrable understanding of technical cleaning requirements.
- Qualifications in Health & Safety, COSHH and HACCP are advantageous.
- Experience of working to tight deadlines within a small team.
Hours of Work:
Successful candidates will work 24 hours per week – 12 hour day shifts, Saturday and Sunday each week.
