We welcomed the Rt. Hon. Angela Rayner MP to our Ashton-under-Lyne factory for a tour of the bakery on Friday 27th June, as part of our 170yr Anniversary celebrations.
Meeting with members of staff from all areas of our business, the Deputy Prime Minister took in a tour of the production, warehouse and mixing areas to view the baking process from start to finish. Also taking away some samples of the new commemorative products including one of her favourites, Bourbon Creams.
There was also a brief pause to see the placement of the factory foundation stone that has been in situ since 1893, reflecting on the business’s long history.
